The US base salary range for this full-time position is $207,000 - $301,000 + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits determined by role, level, and location.

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in software engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree with 6 years of experience in software engineering or related field.
• 6 years of experience in programming and design; experience with large-scale software, architecture, debugging, and risk management.

• Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering Management or a related field, and 6 years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineering-related occupation.
• Position requires 6 years of experience in the following: Programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin, or Go to design, write, test, and maintain software applications; Design of algorithms and data structures to improve product scale, speed, efficiency, and reliability; Systems architecture application to optimize system testability, performance, reliability, and cost; Debugging to diagnose, triage, and fix system issues via root cause analysis; and Risk management to anticipate and assess operational, compliance, product, or program risks.

About the job

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $207,000 - $301,000 + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits determined by role, level, and location. Position reports to the Google office & may allow for a hybrid schedule as per Google policy.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Responsibilities
