Wireless Logic is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to lead their Interstellar Squad, which handles billing processes crucial for clients worldwide. The role requires deep backend expertise, especially in TypeScript or PHP, and experience in modernising systems. You will guide the technical direction, mentor engineers, and ensure high-quality code while collaborating with Product and Delivery teams. Qualifications

• Proven experience leading the technical direction of a squad or product area.
• Deep backend expertise in a modern, strongly-typed stack, preferably Node.js or PHP.
• Experience modernising monolithic systems into smaller services.
• Strong background in distributed systems and event-driven processing.
• Experience defining and enforcing engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Set and communicate a clear technical vision for the squad’s services.
• Lead the decomposition of a mature platform into focused services.
• Drive architecture and system design for billing workflows.
• Mentor engineers and grow their skills.
