Your will be designing architecture solutions for enterprise-level systems with a team of industry-leading experts to enable us to provide innovative solutions and services to our customers using cutting-edge technologies.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Penske Staff Software Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise-level application systems and making enterprise-wide technology recommendations. You will work with a team of industry experts to create reference architecture and roadmaps for digital technology deployment. You will also be responsible for managing a diverse range of projects across cutting-edge technologies, developing innovative solutions.

- Designing and implementing enterprise-level application systems and making enterprise-wide technology recommendations.
- Promoting compliance to application architecture standards/principles and frameworks.
- Creating and maintaining reference architectures and roadmaps for digital technology deployment.
- Participating in digital technologies governance and supporting deployment projects.
- Supporting GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) aspects of digital technologies.
- Researching third-party software solutions and making recommendations.
- Using tools to troubleshoot/debug application issues and contributing during production triage.
- Identifying and addressing architecture strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
- Managing projects to meet client expectations.
- Collaborating with the Architecture team for quality assessment and feedback.
- Leading/assisting development teams to understand best practices and architecture patterns.
- Participating in design and deploy reviews.
- Conducting technical interviews for new hires.
Penske Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of experience in programming languages, frameworks, architecture, and enterprise design patterns.
- 2-4 years of technical project leadership.
- Expertise in Java, Angular, Python, Spring, Spring Boot, XML, JSON, containers, microservices, REST APIs, CI/CD.
- Experience in web application architecture, legacy modernization, Domain-Driven and Event-Driven Architecture, Kafka, AWS.
- Proficiency in software engineering, enterprise architecture (on-prem/cloud), data security, and privacy.
- Understanding digital trends and vendor landscape.
- Experience supporting mission-critical applications and development lifecycle methodologies.
- Ability to mentor teams and communicate effectively with IT and business leaders.
- Willingness to travel, work schedules, background checks, and drug screening are required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs/12 kg.
- Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, use hands, and reach.
