This position is for Qualcomm Automotive Application Engineering Group, collaborating closely with automotive partners from concept to commercialization. The team handles embedded software aspects including SW & HW designs, feature prototyping, integration, customization, performance optimization, and debugging, crucial for successful product launches. We seek a strong Software Engineer with experience in Device Driver Design, Development, and Debugging for Linux, Android, and QNX embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Support Qualcomm customers and partners in designing, developing, and debugging Qualcomm reference design software.
• Understand automotive platform hardware and driver architecture.
• Read/write technical specifications and requirements.
• Collaborate with external customers to customize and launch products.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or
• Master's degree with 3+ years, or
• PhD with 2+ years.

• 2+ years programming experience in C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• 1+ year debugging experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• MS in related fields.
• Experience with Linux, Android, QNX, BSP framework.
• Proficiency with debugging tools like JTAG, Trace32, oscilloscopes.
• Strong C/C++ skills, Linux kernel understanding, experience analyzing crash dumps, and Yocto build system familiarity.
