The FPAB is responsible for fiscal policy related matters to support overall program administration and budget development and implementation. This includes overall analysis and coordination of federal and state legislation for fiscal impact, as well as serving either lead or support capacities for special projects.

Job Description And Duties

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our outstanding cast of team members. The CDSS Financial Management Branch, Fiscal Policy Section (FPS) is looking for highly motivated Staff Services Analysts (SSAs) and/or Associate Governmental Program Analysts (AGPAs) with strong analytical skills who enjoy working in a dynamic and high-profile environment. The FPS plays key roles within CDSS by developing fiscal policy, issuing guidance, and providing oversight of county programs through research, policy analysis, and data review. Additionally, analysts in these positions will participate in the coordination of analysis and implementation of federal and state legislation and will participate in other special projects.
Under the direct supervision of the SSM I, analysts will be responsible for researching, formulating, and recommending fiscal policies (e.g. making recommendations regarding the allow ability of certain costs or setting up claiming structures for different programs) to support the entirety of programs overseen by the CDSS and acting as fiscal liaison to assigned program administrators. Liaisons will participate in on-site technical assistance, fiscal monitoring reviews, and working with the counties to ensure claiming and reporting are completed accurately and timely. Successful candidates will be able to present and articulate their concepts clearly and concisely to program stakeholders, local government representative, multiple CDSS Branches, and Executive Management.
