Job summary

Maven Ventures is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer to build and evolve security-focused software, automations, and internal AI agents that enhance detection and response across our products and infrastructure.

You will design and implement tooling for alert enrichment, triage workflows, and investigations, while integrating security signals from cloud, endpoints, and SaaS environments to improve overall security posture.

Qualifications

4+ years building security-related tools or in a security engineering role with software responsibilities.
Proficiency in Python, Go, or TypeScript and production services experience.
Experience integrating with security-relevant systems such as logging pipelines, SIEMs, EDR, cloud APIs, or identity platforms.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain software and automation for detection and response improvements.
Develop and operate AI agents and security bots for monitoring and investigations.
Support bug bounty and vulnerability disclosure workflows from intake to remediation tracking.
Threat model new features and add guardrails in designs and implementations.
Contribute secure-by-default libraries, services, and patterns for secure features.
Integrate security signals from cloud, endpoints, SaaS, and applications into pipelines and data models.
Build automation to reduce manual work in incident response and remediation.
Collaborate with security engineers and software engineers to review designs and code.
