About Multi Media, LLC

Multi Media, LLC is a global technology company operating a high-traffic live-streaming platform used by millions of people around the world. Behind the experience is a team solving challenging problems in real-time video, scalability, reliability, data, machine learning, and user experience.

We’re a place for people who want their work to matter. Our teams have the autonomy to make decisions, the opportunity to work on problems at meaningful scale, and the ability to see their work shape experiences for a global audience in real time. We value curiosity, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

The Role

Multi Media, LLC is seeking an experienced Staff Security Engineer to join our growing Security team. In this highly impactful role, you’ll help build and mature security capabilities across the organization, with an initial focus on threat intelligence, customer security, detection and response, and AI-driven security solutions. You’ll help turn threat intelligence and security data into actionable signals, automated detections, and scalable tools that identify and respond to emerging threats, account compromise, fraud, and other forms of abuse.

As a Staff Security Engineer, you’ll work across multiple areas of our security program, including customer and product security, public cloud environments, corporate security, and incident response. You’ll also contribute to the continued development of our agentic security platform, applying AI to improve security analysis, investigation, detection, and response. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering and cross-functional teams, influence technical and strategic security decisions, and help shape new programs and capabilities as our security organization continues to grow.

What You’ll Do:

  • Identify security issues, implement and design security controls, tools, and services to improve security systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to conduct product security assessments during the design phase, including rapid threat modeling and architecture analysis to proactively identify and prioritize security risks, ensuring timely feedback.
  • Leverage threat intelligence and an offensive security mindset to anticipate attacker behavior, identify emerging risks, and inform security controls and detection strategies.
  • Research novel security threats and vulnerabilities to the business, offering recommendations to the organization and contributing to the evolution of our security team's expertise.
  • Protect public-facing applications by analyzing edge traffic and tuning WAF, DDoS, rate-limiting, DNS, and anti-bot controls to detect anomalies while minimizing disruption to legitimate users.
  • Develop new security standards and playbooks.
  • Lead and execute incident response simulations, including tabletop exercises and red/blue team engagements.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to other security engineers within the team.
  • Build and expand capabilities within our agentic security platform to improve threat detection, investigation, and response.
  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, encompassing security engineering and related technical domains.
  • Strong expertise with information security incidents and threat assessments.
  • Knowledge of log analysis and forensics across disparate systems and environments.
  • High Proficiency in one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Go).
  • Strong understanding of public cloud environments, such as GCP and AWS.
  • Knowledgeable in standard compliance and control frameworks, such as PCI-DSS, NIST-CSF, and ISO-27001.
  • Possess a strong drive for innovation, coupled with a curious mind and a deep passion for cybersecurity.
  • Demonstrated success in building or scaling a threat intelligence program
  • Ability to apply AI systems to security use cases such as threat detection, investigation, analysis, and response

Bonus Points:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Advanced cybersecurity certifications (e.g., SANS GIAC, Offensive Security, ISC2).
  • Experience in application security vulnerability triage and the implementation of mitigating controls.
  • Background investigating account takeover, credential theft, or other forms of customer account abuse
  • Fair and competitive base salary
  • Fully Remote Optional
  • Health, Vision, Dental, and Life Insurance for you and any dependents, with policy premiums covered by the Company
  • Long & Short term disability insurance
  • Unlimited PTO
