Job summary

The Browser Company is seeking an experienced security engineer to own offensive security across our product lines. You will threat model new surfaces, review features before release, and partner with engineers who handle remediation under the Head of Security.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in offensive security, production-grade code in Go, TypeScript, Python, or Swift, and a remote-friendly stance with the option to work from our Brooklyn office.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in offensive security with a record of finding real bugs in reviewed software.
• Production-quality code in Go, TypeScript, Python, or Swift.
• Annual base salary range is $225,000-$300,000 USD plus equity.
• Remote-friendly company with the option to work from the Brooklyn office.
• Hiring in North American time zones with 4+ hours overlap with Eastern Time.

• You'll work ahead of the product, threat modeling new surfaces and reviewing features before they reach users.

Technical Projects:

• Set up continuous AI-assisted vulnerability discovery using commercial and open-source models.
• Plan and run regular AI-assisted red team exercises against Dia and infrastructure.
• Define structural fixes that eliminate entire classes of vulnerabilities.
