Role Overview: The Identity Defense Operations (IDO) team focuses on identifying attacks against our customers, developing security best practices, and collaborating with product teams to enhance security controls, thereby protecting millions of users.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze product telemetry to detect and respond to customer-targeted attacks.
2. Support customer security teams during incidents, representing Okta Security.
3. Create dashboards and detection logic for attack patterns.
4. Develop security best practices and assist customer-facing teams in communication.
5. Identify gaps in security features and collaborate on improvements.
6. Work with data scientists to test machine learning models using real-world data.
7. Coordinate with the Cyber Threat Research team on threat actor activity.

Qualifications:

• Passion for defending online identities and understanding system interactions.
• Experience with SaaS products, security, or data analytics projects.
• Experience in incident investigations related to identity and access management.
• Knowledge of protocols like SAML, OAuth, OpenID, etc.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to access federal environments or provide proof of U.S. Person status.
