Job summary

The company in San Mateo, CA, is seeking a Security Engineering Leader to drive security across the Command platform core services, frontend, and mobile apps. You will model threats, review security designs, and define security roadmaps while collaborating with Core Command and product teams.

You will evangelize secure software practices, enable automation, and help engineers grow their security mindset through mentorship and leadership. This role reports to the security leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 7+ years as a security engineer or advisory role.
• Experience with AWS, GCP or other cloud providers.
• Strong understanding of security weaknesses, exploits, and mitigations.
• Experience writing production code (Python/Go) or automation scripts.
• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate security baked into applications across the SDLC.
• Lead threat modeling and security design reviews.
• Define security roadmap, requirements, and priorities.
• Set up security tooling and secure defaults.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve security.
• Create and operate a bug bounty program.
• Triage and recommend solutions for security bugs.
• Grow the broader company security program with the CISO.
• Share security knowledge via conferences and blogs.
