Job summary

Moveworks is hiring a Staff Security Engineer (Compliance) to build automated evidence pipelines and real-time control monitoring. You will automate disparate compliance tasks and lead international programs (ISMAP/IRAP/C5) while partnering with auditors.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering or information security with a focus on security compliance and risk management.
• Fluency in Japanese (ISMAP requirements) is required.
• Bachelor’s in CS/IT/Cybersecurity; advanced degrees or certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and own automated evidence collection pipelines integrating with cloud infra, identity providers, source control and ticketing systems.
• Design and implement continuous control monitoring to measure compliance in real time.
• Automate legacy compliance processes into scalable, engineering-first platforms.
• Own strategy for future certifications and regulatory frameworks, designing scalable solutions.
• Apply AI/LLMs to map controls to evidence, validate, and flag drift.
• Lead international compliance initiatives such as ISMAP, IRAP, C5, FedRAMP, ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2 Type 2.
• Navigate auditor relationships and ensure smooth audits across regions.
• Create and transform compliance documentation, policies, and procedures.
