Job summary

VERSANT is seeking a Staff Security Architect to lead complex security architecture engagements across cloud, infrastructure, and applications. The role partners with engineering, data, and product teams to implement secure-by-design solutions aligned with enterprise strategy.

The ideal candidate has deep architectural expertise across cloud-native environments, threat modeling, SSDLC, and DevSecOps, with exceptional communication to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-8 years of progressive experience across cybersecurity disciplines.
• Experience designing enterprise security architectures for complex cloud-native, hybrid, or distributed environments.
• Experience with threat modeling using industry frameworks (e.g., STRIDE, MITRE ATT&CK).
• Strong understanding of SSDLC, DevSecOps, CI/CD security, SAST/DAST/SCA, and pen testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead security architecture engagements for complex enterprise initiatives and high-impact implementations.
• Serve as trusted advisor to engineering, infrastructure, cloud, data, and product teams.
• Develop security architecture strategies, reference architectures, design patterns, and governance guidance.
• Lead threat modeling exercises, architectural risk assessments, and security reviews for critical initiatives.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for security risks and alignment with enterprise strategy.
• Drive improvements to the Security Architecture review process and methodologies.
