Code Metal, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer in Test (SDET) to strengthen quality across code-transformation platforms and AI-assisted workflows.

You will identify gaps, establish scalable practices, and create clear quality signals with release evidence in partnership with Engineering and Solutions. In this senior role, you will lead quality standards, mentor engineers, and help shape the QE function's roadmap.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with systems software and language tooling.
• Proficiency in Python and C++, with debugging of unfamiliar C and Rust code.
• Designing and scaling automated test frameworks and evaluation pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of memory models, concurrency, and performance considerations.
• Hands-on Linux, containers, CI platforms, and modern build systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess gaps in validation practices and establish scalable quality strategies.
• Improve AI-assisted workflows with reliability and oversight.
• Build automated quality and regression infrastructure for AI workflows.
• Standardize release evidence including regression trends and validation results.
• Diagnose failures across C/C++, Rust, Python and heterogeneous environments.
• Integrate validation suites into delivery workflows with CI/CD.
• Lead quality practices and mentor engineers to shape the QE roadmap.
