Qualifications

• D.V.M. or Ph.D. in virology, microbiology, immunology, pathobiology, or related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of postdoctoral research experience, preferably in infectious disease.
• Experience working with animals in a research setting across multiple species and biosafety levels.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and interpret cutting-edge scientific research in a laboratory setting.
• Develop and advise on innovative methodologies to achieve research objectives efficiently.
• Prepare and support the reporting and publication of research findings, ensuring high-quality contributions to scientific literature.
• Assist in drafting and securing grant and contract applications, supporting funding efforts for ongoing research initiatives.
• Mentor, coach, and lead team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive research environment.
• Provide insights on talent acquisition, retention, and performance management, including promotions, reviews, and salary adjustments, to support team growth and development.
• Cultivate strong relationships with faculty and cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and research success.
