Job summary

City of Hope's Beckman Research Institute invites a Staff Scientist to join the Pediatric Immunotherapy Research Lab led by Leo Wang. The role focuses on fundamental immunology, CAR T cell biology, and translational approaches for pediatric cancers.

You will design and lead projects, mentor lab members, maintain meticulous records, and contribute to publications and grant applications, while collaborating across labs and clinical trials.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or doctoral level degree or equivalent professional experience required.
• Core competencies: cell and molecular biology, flow cytometry, protein biochemistry, and mouse work.
• Extensive prior experience in immunology or closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead projects to understand and augment CAR T cell function in specific microenvironments.
• Coordinate lab tasks, mentor members, provide technical and experimental assistance.
• Keep detailed logs of experimental design, data, analysis, and synthesis.
• Prepare data presentations and manuscripts for publication.
• Organize and maintain project workflow and collaborations.
