ChampionX in Sugar Land, TX, seeks a Staff Scientist to advance applied research and product development in production chemistry, leveraging nanotechnology to improve corrosion control. You will design formulations, lead experiments, and translate laboratory findings into scalable solutions for customers.

The successful candidate will apply chemistry, interfacial science, and structure–property insights, mentor teammates, collaborate with business partners, and contribute to IP documentation

Qualifications

• PhD/MS/BS with significant experience in production chemistry and corrosion science.
• Strong background in interfacial science and formulation development.
• Experience translating lab results to field-scale applications and IP contributions.

Responsabilités

• Conduct applied research to advance corrosion-control chemistry and production chemistry solutions.
• Design formulations, screening, and evaluation strategies linking variables to performance.
• Lead transformational innovation projects with global impact and scale- up potential.
• Document results with reports, presentations, and intellectual property contributions.
• Collaborate with business teams and customers to translate needs into technical solutions.
• Mentor junior scientists and provide technical leadership and accountability.
