Job summary

ChampionX is seeking a Senior Chemist to apply advanced production chemistry expertise, design and execute tests, and analyze complex data. You will mentor junior chemists, guide technical workstreams, and drive safety, quality, and efficiency in a small team of three.

The role involves managing up to 1,000 samples per month and collaborating with a Regional Lab Manager. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of lab experience in US land oilfield production chemistry and strong leadership and

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Chemistry or related field with at least 5 years of US Land oilfield production chemistry experience
• Master's degree in Chemistry or related field with at least 3 years of US Land oilfield production chemistry experience
• Experience supporting production chemistry programs for U.S. land-based oil and gas operations
• Experience operating and troubleshooting ICP-OES, Ion Chromatography, GC, XRF or equivalent instrumentation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and LIMS with data management and reporting experience

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute routine and non-routine analytical testing activities in support of customer programs and field operations
• Apply advanced production chemistry knowledge to troubleshoot challenges, validate methods, interpret data and solve problems
• Design, conduct and interpret laboratory analyses tied to real-world field performance
• Independently manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder communications in a fast-paced lab
• Mentor and develop chemists and technicians and foster a safety-oriented lab culture
