Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle seeks a highly qualified Staff Scientist to lead research on immune therapies and immune function in cancer patients, with a focus on multiple myeloma. You will collaborate across disciplines and mentor junior investigators.

The role offers opportunities to develop in vivo T cell redirect approaches, novel targets for CARTs or bispecifics, and high-dimensional immune assays, with collaborations across UW and other cancer centers.

Qualifications

• PhD and/or MD in immunology, molecular biology, cell biology, computational biology, or related fields.
• Track record of productive research with high quality publications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential.
• Strong teamwork with bioinformaticians and clinical collaborators.
• Experience in immunology and animal models (mice) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct experiments independently, design studies, review literature, analyze data under PI guidance.
• Contribute to research reports, publications, and oral presentations.
• Present at scientific conferences and symposiums when opportunities arise.
