You will work with engineers and researchers to design, simulate, and test accelerator components, document findings, and help translate research into scalable technologies.

Qualifications

  • PhD or MS (or equivalent) in Physics or a closely related field.
  • Strong foundation in core physics principles, with the ability to apply them to complex systems.
  • Experience with modeling, simulation, or experimental work in a relevant domain.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams with scientists and engineers.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new domains and technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, simulation, and analysis of accelerator systems and subsystems.
  • Apply physics-based modeling to inform system architecture, component design, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams on development, integration, and testing of accelerator components.
  • Support experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation of test results.
  • Help identify technical challenges and contribute to creative, practical solutions.
  • Participate in system-level thinking—bringing theory, modeling, and real-world implementation.
  • Document findings and communicate results clearly across technical teams.
