Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future (e.g., OPT, CPT, H1B, EB-1, etc.)
- Must have Bachelor’s Degree or higher or eight (8) years of working experience in engineering
- Must have at least ten (10) years engineering experience in designing and/or implementing material handling robotics/automation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering
- Have at least twelve (12) years engineering experience in designing and/or implementing material handling robotics/automation
- Have led multiple significant projects with a value of $1,000,000 or greater
- Have experience with ARM robot configuration and programming
- Have experience with Rockwell PLC programming
- Have experience with conveyor system design and programming
- Have knowledge of industrial robot best engineering practices
- Have knowledge of ANSI/RIA Industrial Robot safety requirements
- Have experience in robotic or material handling simulation for throughput analysis and performance improvements
Responsibilities:
- Design, program, test, implement, and support material handling robotic systems, including articulating arm and gantry robots, mobile robot shuttles, and ASRS.
- Write highly complex robot programs from scratch, debug, troubleshoot, and enhance code. Capable of programming in multiple languages. Develop new code innovations and mentor other engineers.
- Lead electrical design and troubleshooting for full system electrical design, especially for large projects.
- Perform full mechanical system design using AutoCAD and SolidWorks (robot cell design).
- Provide 24x7 technical support for robotic systems, lead root cause analysis, and support multiple robotic technologies.
- Manage portfolios of manufacturing robot projects, oversee multiple large projects, and write functional specifications.
- Develop cost estimates, request quotations, and lead factory and site acceptance tests.
- Identify and implement programming and functionality enhancements to improve performance across robotic networks.
- Execute complex robotics innovation projects.
- Mentor multiple team members, including co-ops and mid-level engineers, and lead training initiatives.
