Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus is seeking an experienced RN for a Level IV NICU position. The role is 0.6–0.9 FTE with night shifts 7p–7a, every 5th weekend and two holidays per year. Travel to nine NICUs within the system is required.

BSN is required, or an Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within five years. Ohio RN license, NRP certification, and other certifications such as PALS, ACLS, and APHON are expected or obtainable through management.

Qualifications

  • BSN or ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years.
  • Current Ohio RN license and NRP certification required.
  • 2 years of Level IV NICU experience preferred; travel to multiple NICUs may be required.
  • Must be willing to obtain PALS, ACLS, APHON or other certifications as directed.

Responsibilities

  • Assists patients to move rapidly, uneventfully, and safely through care.
  • Delivers developmentally appropriate patient care and advocates for patients and families.
  • Communicates needs to LPNs, PCAs, and allied health staff; documents per standards.
  • Uses evidence‑based practices and participates in quality improvement activities.

Overview:Must have 2 years of level IV NICU experience. Must have NRP certification.0.6 FTE - 0.9 FTE, Night Shift 7p-7a, Every 5th weekend. 2 Holidays per year. Delegates, directs, oversees and provides developmentally appropriate patient care.
