Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a staff nurse to provide compassionate nursing care across the lifecycle, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care within Piedmont's standards.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Georgia RN licensure (or NLC/eNCL), BCLS, and new graduates eligible. Bachelor’s degree preferred; hospital experience and advanced certifications preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• New graduates eligible; no experience required.
• Nursing experience in hospital setting preferred.
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions preferred.
• Georgia RN licensure (or NLC/eNCL multistate licensure) current in GA required.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) required.
• Advanced certification in specialty area if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Maintain standards of practice and accountability within organizational policies.
• Coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff to ensure quality care.
