Job summary

Samaritan Medical Center in the United States is seeking a Staff RN for the Radiation Oncology department. You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced oncology setting, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support ongoing treatment regimens and safety protocols.

The role requires a nursing degree, RN licensure, and BLS certification with leadership and excellent communication skills. Day shift, 80 hours per pay period, with potential shifts and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to function well in stressful situations and possess problem-solving skills.

Location: Samaritan Medical Center Department: 01.7361 SMC RADIATION ONCOLOGY Pay Range: $41.57 - $62.69 Up to $24000.00 Sign On Bonus

Responsibilities
  • Staff Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care, assesses patient needs, develops and implements care plans, and supervises other healthcare staff.
  • Administers medications, monitors patient health, educates patients and families, and collaborates with other healthcare professionals.
  • Documents patient care, adheres to nursing regulations, and ensures patient safety.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Previous hospital RN experience is preferred.
  • BLS required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
  • Possesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles.
  • Ability to provide quality patient care, and ability to assess patient's needs, e.g. clinical, teaching, mental and spiritual.
  • Must recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to assess and implement use of lifts to and move patients in a safe manner.
  • Must be able to function well in stressful situations and have good, creative, problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate.
  • May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required.
