Job Summary

Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute healthcare settings. The department operates 24/7/365. The RN practices according to the Ohio Board of Nursing standards, delegating tasks appropriately to LPNs and UAPs, and providing professional nursing services based on assessed patient needs.

Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Assessment/Diagnosis: Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments.
  2. Outcomes Identification/Planning: Documents nursing diagnoses and collaborates on care plans to meet patient needs.
  3. Implementation/Evaluation: Implements and evaluates nursing interventions, revising care plans as needed.
  4. Leadership: Participates in process improvement activities to enhance clinical quality, patient satisfaction, and financial performance.
  5. Operations: Contributes to operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Registered Nurse license from the Ohio Board of Nursing
