Job summary

Torrance Memorial Medical Center is seeking a Staff RN to provide comprehensive nursing care in a telemetry unit. The RN will use the nursing process to develop and implement individualized care plans for a defined patient population, collaborating with physicians, clinicians and families throughout the care continuum.

Responsibilities include monitoring patient status, interpreting EKG tracings, administering medications safely, and participating in education for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license
• ACLS certification from American Heart Association
• 1 year telemetry experience
• Basic arrhythmia/12-lead ECG course or equivalent experience

Job description

The Staff RN uses the nursing process to deliver nursing care to a given patient care population as it relates to the care setting. Nursing care is based on the interpretation and execution of the medical and nursing plan of treatment utilizing established procedures standards and protocols of individuals within the assigned work shift. The Staff RN provides nursing care to the population served in the unit.
