Job summary

Bryan Medical Center is seeking a Staff Registered Nurse (RN) to meet patient priorities through assessment, care planning, and delivery. The RN will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and other support staff in accordance with Nebraska statutes, while coordinating with the interdisciplinary team and ensuring accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include initiating assessments, identifying nursing priorities, educating patients and families, evaluating responses, and supporting transitions

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure from Nebraska or approved compact state as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act.
• Evidence of certification and/or instruction for practice area as required by State or Federal standards/regulations.
• Prior Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan care based on patient needs and interdisciplinary care plans.
• Document patient care according to Bryan Medical Center procedures.
• Supervise licensed practical nurses and support staff in patient care.
• Educate patients and families to meet identified needs.
• Evaluate patient responses to interventions and progress toward outcomes.
• Facilitate transitions to the next level of care.
• Participate in continued learning and self-development.
