Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta seeks a Registered Nurse to independently plan and provide professional care to patients in accordance with physician orders and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act, delivering high-quality, compassionate bedside care.

Ideal candidates are accredited nursing school graduates, GA RN licensed and BLS certified, with BSN preferred and at least two years of RN experience; ACLS/PALS/NRP or other unit certifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

1. BSN degree
2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
3. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
