Job Description Summary

The RN provides general nursing care to patients and families across diverse, acute healthcare settings, operating 24/7/365. The RN practices in accordance with the Ohio Board of Nursing standards, delegating tasks appropriately to LPNs and UAPs, and providing professional nursing services based on policies and care standards. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients.

Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Assessment/Diagnosis: Performs initial and ongoing health assessments (30%).
  2. Outcomes Identification/Planning: Documents nursing diagnoses and plans interventions to meet patient needs (30%).
  3. Implementation/Evaluation: Evaluates patient responses to interventions and revises care plans as needed (20%).
  4. Leadership: Participates in process improvement activities to enhance clinical quality, satisfaction, and financial performance (10%).
  5. Operations: Contributes to daily operational activities (10%).
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Ohio Board of Nursing
