Job summary

Northside Hospital is an award-winning, state-of-the-art care provider in Atlanta, GA. The Registered Professional Nurse independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients following physician orders and established guidelines, within the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Required: graduate of an accredited nursing program, RN license in Georgia, and BLS certification. Preferred: BSN and additional life-support credentials or advanced unit certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
• Works within the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
