Job description

Stamford Health is seeking a Per Diem NICU RN for Day Shifts to join our NICU department.

Requirements: Must be able to work 4 shifts within a 6-week schedule, attend new hire and nursing orientations, and have NICU RN experience.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care following the Nursing Process, supervise non-RN staff, act as a resource, and serve as preceptor. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and deliver safe, therapeutic care.

  • Assess patient conditions and develop care plans
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Educate patients and families as needed
  • Respond to crises effectively
  • Document care accurately and timely
Qualifications
  • NICU or critical care experience preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing School
  • Valid Connecticut RN license
  • BSN preferred
  • BLS certification required
  • Maintain 6 contact hours annually
