Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. (Department operates 24/7/365 with scheduled staff.)
The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing. The RN delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) following Ohio Nurse Practice Act standards. Provides professional nursing care services to patients based on department policies and nursing care standards. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients.
