Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care across the patient lifecycle in our Atlanta, GA campus. The role emphasizes adherence to nursing processes, collaboration with the care team, and ongoing professional development.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and hold an active Georgia RN license; New graduates are welcome. BCLS is required, with opportunities for advancement and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing (Required).
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• New graduates eligible; RN licensure in Georgia required.
• PRN hospital nursing experience preferred; 1 year experience in hospital setting preferred.
• BCLS Basic Life Support required.
• Advanced specialty certification, if applicable (see addendum).

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Coordinates patient care activities of all assigned staff to ensure quality nursing care.
• Documents patient care and concerns in the patient record.
• Identifies teaching opportunities and provides resources for patient education.
• Communicates with the Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager and/or physician as appropriate.
