Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta, GA seeks a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.

State licensure as an RN in Georgia with current BLS certification is required; a BSN is preferred, and more advanced life support credentials are encouraged to support diverse unit needs.

Qualifications

• Adhere to the Georgia Nurse Practice Act scope of practice and institutional policies.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

1. BSN degree
2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
3. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
