Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse in Atlanta, GA. The RN will independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and established guidelines, following the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Required: GA RN licensure in good standing and BLS certification. A BSN is preferred, with two years of RN experience and additional life support certifications optional.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and guidelines.
• Complies with the Georgia Nurse Practice Act scope of practice.
• Independently manages patient care and collaborates with the health care team.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities, License Or Certification Required

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

Knowledge Skills And Abilities/License Or Certification Preferred

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
