Job summary

OhioHealth Endoscopy department in Columbus, OH seeks an experienced registered nurse to provide general nursing care across the health-illness continuum, collaborating with the health care team. This role requires on-call shifts and supports a 36-hour work week with a daytime schedule.

The successful candidate will hold an Ohio RN license, BLS certification, and have at least two years of RN experience, with a preference for critical care/ED/pre/post/endoscopy settings.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required)
  • Current registered nurse license from the State of Ohio.
  • Knowledge in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
  • BLS certification.
  • Commitment to on-call shifts.
  • Must have previous and recent RN experience of at least 2 years. Critical care/ED, Pre/Post, and Endoscopy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assessment/Diagnosis – Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and or individual.
  • Outcomes Identification/Planning – Documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs.
  • Implementation/Evaluation – Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriately determined intervals; as part of a multidisciplinary team, revises plan of care based on evaluative data.
  • Leadership – Actively participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Operations – Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in performing job duties.
  • As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties.

Job Description Summary

This position requires on-call shifts.

This position provides general nursing care to patients and families along the health illness continuum in diverse health care settings while collaborating with the health care team. He/She is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
