Job summary

OhioHealth in Mansfield, Ohio, is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift in the Emergency Department to provide comprehensive nursing care.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, delegating tasks to LPNs and UAPs, and lead process improvements while upholding safety and quality in a high reliability environment.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio or valid multi‑state compact license.
  • BLS certification.
  • Associate’s Degree required; BSN required at 5 years of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Assessment/Diagnosis – Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments (30%).
  • Outcomes Identification/Planning – Documents planned nursing interventions based on diagnoses and collaborative problems to achieve appropriate outcomes (30%).
  • Implementation/Evaluation – Evaluates and documents responses to interventions, revising plans as needed (20%).
  • Leadership – Participates in process improvement activities to achieve clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance targets (10%).
  • Operations – Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency as a High Reliability Organization (10%).

Job Description Summary

Full time (36 hrs/wk), Night shift (7p‑7a). Eligible for weekend & shift differential.

Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. The RN is accountable for nursing practice as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing, delegating tasks to LPNs and UAPs, and providing professional nursing care services per department policies and nursing care standards. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients.
