Job summary

Mary Rutan Health seeks a dedicated registered nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care. You will monitor patients, communicate clinically significant changes to the care team, and respond promptly to evolving conditions as part of a cohesive unit.

Responsibilities include thorough assessments, independent work, and adherence to service excellence standards while maintaining current licenses and certifications. Flexibility to float and work weekends/holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current State Nursing Licensure in Ohio.
• BSN preferred.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association or within 12 months of hire.
• NRP is required for FBC Nurses prior to orientation.
• For ED/OR/PACU/SDS, current PALS certification within 12 months of hire.

Communicates with all members of the healthcare team, as appropriate related to changes in patient's clinical condition including diagnostic study results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Is able to perform general nursing duties.Assumes responsibility for unit patient populations. Understands and be willing to adhere to the service excellence standards established for Mary Rutan Health. Demonstrates the ability to complete thorough patient assessments. Demonstrates effective communication skills necessary to interact efficiently with all customers. Able to work independently and demonstrate ability to delegate appropriately. Effectively functions in unexpected crisis in a calm, confident manner. Willing to adjust schedule to meet unit needs, float to and work in other areas as assigned and accept low census as needed.
