Job summary

Berger Health System in Ashland, OH, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This full-time evening position (36 hrs/wk) may float to other sites as needed to meet patient care demands in a 24/7 department.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team and delegating tasks to LPNs and UAPs. Ohio Nurse Practice Act compliance and BLS are required; BSN is preferred after five years of employment.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in nursing is required.
  • Current Ohio RN license (or multi-state compact) in good standing.
  • BLS certification required; BSN may be required after 5 years of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and document patient health status.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care with team.
  • Delegate tasks to LPNs/UAPs per Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
  • Lead process improvements for quality, safety, and efficiency.
