Job summary

Valley View Manor in Norwich, NY is seeking an energetic Staff Nurse (RN) to join our 82-bed facility. New higher rates available and a supportive team environment aimed at delivering quality resident care.

Responsibilities include supervising nursing services, coordinating resident care on shifts, and ensuring regulatory compliance. NYS RN license required; minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred, with PICC/IV management and wound care experience a plus.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assists in directing, and supervising all nursing services provided in the facility to achieve desired clinical and financial outcomes. Assist in ensuring that the facility is in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Assists in ensuring necessary equipment, supplies, and staffing are available for the delivery of the prescribed resident/patient care.
• Completes rounds of the facility to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Coordinates the care of residents on assigned shift.
• Demonstrate effective and organized communication with residents, families, staff, and medical providers.
• Demonstrate an ability to solve problems and multi-task under pressure.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a long-term care setting.
• Licensed in NYS as a registered nurse,
• Ability to supervise and discipline staff and ensure that high standards of care are maintained as necessary.
• Knowledge and experience of PICC/IV management, wound vac management, trach care, medical drain management preferred
