Discovery Lab). This Lab focuses on determining the molecular basis of epithelial cancer formation, progression and treatment. Following consultation and planning with the Principal Investigator, the SRA IV will independently plan and carry out experiments involving cell lines, animal models and diagnostic and functional assays towards understanding the molecular, cellular and genetic events involved in the formation and progression of gynecologic cancers.

Duties include:

  • Basic and advanced molecular biology and cell culture techniques, such as tissue culture, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, single cell proteomics and transcriptomics.
  • working on high-throughput drug screening studies to identify small molecule and immunotherapy treatment candidates.
  • working with the PI on preparation of manuscripts and funding proposals, annotating methods and interpreting data, and contributing to the analytical, strategic and technical aspects of planning and writing.
  • Designing, planning and conducting in vitro and in vivo experiments and is expected to participate in and make innovate contributions to research projects.
