Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Transplant for a nursing job in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.
This position is eligible for a SIGN-ON BONUS up to $10,000, payable after hire.
Additional benefits include Student Loan Forgiveness up to $20,000, Tuition Assistance up to $7,200, and RN Referral up to $10,000 for Advocate Aurora Teammates.

Responsible for providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skilled communication, leads efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
Uses the nursing process to assess the needs of the patient, plan and implement individualized interventions, and evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care. Includes the patient and family in planning and implementing care and develops and maintains a therapeutic relationship throughout the healthcare continuum.
Anticipates and recognizes significant changes in the patient’s condition, status, and need for care. Provides ongoing assessment of the patient and takes appropriate actions when changes occur. Collaborates with other healthcare team members to coordinate patient-centered care.
Implements strategies to reduce patient risk and increase safety. Assesses patient and family readiness to learn and individualizes the approach as necessary. Works collaboratively to develop strategies to meet learning needs.
Coordinates discharge planning using an interdisciplinary approach. Applies evidence-based practices to deliver patient care, integrating nursing and regulatory standards into practice.
Continuously evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking appropriate actions when needed. Supports shared governance activities and initiatives to improve processes and outcomes.
Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution skills. Promotes collaboration among healthcare team members and assumes a leadership role, delegating appropriately to unlicensed personnel.
Promotes a culture of safety by identifying threats to patient safety and intervening to prevent harm. Reports safety events and near misses timely and seeks to identify potential issues for corrective actions.
Applies ethical decision-making, demonstrates respect for peers and other disciplines, and participates as an effective team member to formulate individualized care approaches.
Participates in quality and process improvement initiatives and engages in professional development activities, including attending meetings and completing competencies annually.
Full-time night shift, every third weekend, 50% of holidays.
Registered Nurse license issued by the practicing state and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Completion of an accredited nursing program.
