Job Summary

As an Emergency Department RN, you will be a vital member of a dynamic team, responsible for diagnosing responses to health problems and providing emergent, supportive, and restorative care using the nursing process. Our relationship-based nursing model emphasizes strong patient-caregiver connections, personalized care, teamwork, professionalism, and mutual respect, offering a fulfilling career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of nursing care for ED patients.
  • Assess health status through history and physical exams.
  • Initiate therapeutic, diagnostic procedures, consultations, and labs.
  • Educate and counsel patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and illness management.
  • Document findings and care plans accurately.
  • Consult with physicians per hospital policy.
  • Ensure a safe environment and evaluate intervention effectiveness.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • RN license issued by Connecticut.
  • American Heart Association CPR certification or equivalent (must obtain within three months if not currently certified).
  • Additional specialty certifications as required.
