Cook Children’s Health Care System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department in Prosper, Texas.

Job Description & Requirements

• Specialty: ED - Emergency Department
• Discipline: RN

• Duration: Ongoing
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour shifts (7p - 7a)
• Employment Type: Staff

Location: Medical Center-Prosper

Summary: The RN will provide nursing care to a variety of patients, with potential assignments to other units based on patient care needs. The role emphasizes strong patient care skills, excellent customer service, quality, safety, and advocacy for patients and the organization.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or has completed requirements for BSN en route to MSN.
• Minimum 6 months of nursing experience.

Licensure and Certifications

• Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas.
• Current BLS certification.
• Additional life support certifications (PALS, NRP, ACLS, ENPC, TNCC) may be required within 1 year of hire.
