SUMMARY OF POSITION:

As an integral part of the team, and contact person for the Care Center, the Business Associate is responsible for the business aspects of a patient’s stay and the patient-centered care within the Care Center. These activities include capacity management program functions, pre-admitting and admitting, registration, maintaining census information, chart maintenance and completion, scheduling, OR/procedure booking, performing unit reception duties, and other duties as needed.

SCHEDULED HOURS: 11 PM - 7:30 AM.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate effectively.
• Six to nine months of healthcare-related experience required.
• Knowledge of keyboarding and basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Successful completion of Business Associate training program and competency-based orientation.
• Knowledge of insurance preferred.
