Position Summary

The Assistant Director of Nursing maintains standards of nursing practice as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, and Nursing’s Social Policy Statement. This role involves actualizing the vision, mission, values, and performance measures of Montefiore Medical Center. The Assistant Director participates in performance improvement activities, maintains professional standards, demonstrates leadership, and manages resources to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications

• NY State Registered Nurse License and current registration
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required
• Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred
• Minimum of 3 years management experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Management skills for organizing and evaluating patient care activities
• Knowledge of balanced scorecard measures
