Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of Nursing; Knowledge of GA Nurse Practice Act and Joint Commission Standards of nursing procedures and patient care.
• Current Georgia license as a registered nurse.
• ACLS and PALS required. CCRN certification preferred; willing to obtain CCRN within first 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient needs to provide best possible care.
• Observe and interpret symptoms and communicate with physicians.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to devise care plans.
• Perform routine procedures and document in EHR.
• Administer medications per physician orders and scope of practice.
• Maintain hygiene and safety in facilities.
• Provide immediate medical care in emergencies.
• Assist surgeons during operations.
• Supervise and train LPNs and nursing assistants.
• Foster compassionate environment for patients and families.
• Expand knowledge by attending educational workshops and conferences.

Job description

You will be responsible for delivering safe and effective nursing care with utmost compassion, evaluating response to treatment and advocating for patient’s needs, and educating them and their families on health and wellness. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care autonomously.

Responsibilities

Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice

Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians and other providers

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to devise individualized care plans for patients

Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and document in the electronic record

Administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders and according to scope of practice

Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.)

Provide instant medical care in emergencies

Assist surgeons during operations

Supervise and train LPNs and nursing assistants

Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families

Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences etc.

Job Requirements:

Graduate of accredited school of Nursing; Knowledge of GA Nurse Practice Act and Joint Commission Standards of nursing procedures and patient care. Current Georgia license as a registered nurse. ACLS and PALS required. At least 2-3 years of critical care experience and CCRN certification are preferred. Must be willing to obtain CCRN within first 2 years of employment.
