# Staff Registered Nurse for ED (58656)CADIZ, KY 42211## OverviewPosition TypePart TimeJob ShiftNightsCategoryEMERGENCY SERVICES## Description**Essential Functions:*** Performs triage by collecting current information, as well as a detailed patient history and determine priority of care based on physical, psychological and social needs, using the Emergency Severity Index (ESI), triage level system.* Performs patient care and patient care procedures, including IV therapy, wound cleansing and dressing, immobilizations, medication administration and assessments, reassessments and discharge education.* Manages basic life support needs and stabilizes the patient until seen by the provider, based upon nursing standards and protocols* Provides any and all ACLS/PALS interventions* Works directly under physicians, assisting with exams, diagnostic testing and treatment* Documents on the EMR systems, appropriately and completely on patients.* Delegates tasks to Paramedics, LPNs & CNAs, as needed* Communicates and collaborates with other staff members, patients, family/visitors and other departments within the hospital* Any and all other duties assigned by Nurse Manager## Qualifications**QUALIFICATIONS:*** Education: Associates or Bachelor’s in Nursing from an accredited nursing school* Licensure in Kentucky or Compact State License* BLS, ACLS, PALS.
