Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic examinations, apply radiation protection, and ensure high-quality patient care in a 40-hour work week at our St. Louis campus.

The role requires ARRT radiography certification, BLS, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Responsibilities include equipment prep, patient support, and maintaining records per department standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.
• Basic Life Support certifications (online without skills assessment) do not meet BLS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic examinations per scanning protocols, correlating patient history with examination and presents study to physician for examination while adhering to patient schedules.
• Assists physicians with procedures, obtains necessary supplies and equipment and monitors patient needs while assisting physician with patient support.
• Enhances own professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and conferences.
• Maintains documentation as requires, including patient files, performs data entry and completes paperwork needed for procedures/processes.
• Develops film through automatic processing, monitoring darkroom supplies.
• Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
• Assists with maintaining supplies.

Salary Range

$28.01 - $43.44 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
