Job summary

Memorial Health System hires a Staff Radiographer to obtain diagnostic radiographs and administer contrast media for specific procedures. The role includes assisting licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and sterile radiologic procedures, patient safety, transportation, and documentation.

The position also supports the education of students from the School of Radiologic Technology and requires active participation in department meetings and compliance programs.

Qualifications

• Current radiologic licensure from the State of Ohio Department of Health or WV license and ARRT registered.
• BLS certification required.
• Interpersonal and basic clerical skills and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Obtain diagnostic radiographs following scope of practice defined by ARRT/ASRT and Ohio rules.
• Administer contrast media for specific diagnostic procedures.
• Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures (including sterile procedures).
• Maintain patient safety and transportation; document patient care.
• Perform clerical duties and support education for School of Radiologic Technology students.
• Attend department meetings (75% attendance).
• Maintain compliance with RQI and other regulations.

In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Staff Radiographer is responsible for obtaining diagnostic radiographs. Administers contrast media related to particular diagnostic procedures. Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures including sterile procedures.
