Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience supporting catheter-based medical device development and related activities.
• Experience designing mechanical/electromechanical assemblies in a regulated environment.
• Proven track record leading technical projects and cross‑functional initiatives.
• Ability to translate user needs into engineering requirements and design specifications.
• Proficiency with GD&T, CAD, and CAE tools, preferably SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with medical device design controls, risk management and quality system requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead concept-stage R&D projects for catheter-based electromechanical systems and vascular technologies.
• Translate physician/customer insights into innovative technical solutions and product concepts.
• Design, develop, modify, and verify catheter-based device components and subsystems.
• Translate user needs into specifications, architectures, and designs.
• Lead prototyping, testing, and rapid iteration to validate feasibility and value.
• Apply engineering principles to solve complex catheter system challenges.
• Collaborate with physicians, suppliers, and teams to evaluate emerging technologies.
• Maintain engineering docs, risk assessments, and reports per design control procedures.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to advance concepts from ideation to feasibility.
• Act as a technical leader, mentoring engineers and guiding strategy across the team.
